STRENGTHENING TRANSITIONS FOR STUDENTS WITH ASD This initiative represents a collaborative pilot project between York University, Seneca College, the Toronto District School Board, the York Catholic District School Board and the Ministry of Training, Colleges & Universities. Our goal is to assist students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD/Asperger's) transition from high school into a postsecondary program. The initiative provides integrative support services throughout the full calendar year, starting in high school and ending after the first few months of a postsecondary academic program. Individual, group and community resources are available including mentorship programs, workshops, support groups and assistive technology aids. Future and current students, as well as their families and communities, can take advantage of supports.
